Dr. Julie E. Voss, MD, FAAD

Dr. Julie Voss has been serving the Pacific Northwest since 1996. After initially working for other dermatologists, then running her own office, and finally being a partner in a local clinic, she has now started her own business again to serve her clients as best she can.

Dr. Voss graduated top of her class from the University of California at Santa Barbara and studied at the University of California at Irvine Medical School. After an internship at the She completed her residency in Dermatology at the University of California at Irvine with emphasis on dermatological surgery, cosmetic procedures and lasers. Dr. Voss is board certified in Dermatology and has been an associate professor at the University of Washington since 1999. As part of the UW Clinical Faculty, she teaches students and residents dermatology and skin cancer surgery. Dr. Voss has been performing tumescent liposuction since 1996. 

Her excellent reputation for artistry, skill, knowledge and passion combine to make Dr. Voss' outcomes predictably excellent with an outstanding safety record.  She was voted one of Seattle's best doctors in 2019 and 2020.

Dr. Voss is known for her ability to achieve natural-looking results with her patients in the safest way possible. Her areas of specific expertise are body and face contouring with liposuction, fillers and fat transfer as well as laser skin tightening and perfecting. She employs Fractional Lasers, CO2 lasers, V-Beams, Intense Pulsed Light (aka IPL), Broadband Light (Fotofacial and Photofacial)

An expert with local anesthetic, she has successfully treated many thousands of skin cancers (particularly of the head and neck) without need of a hospital stay. Using expert numbing techniques she has performed thousands of neck and body liposuction with only local anesthesia and has performed thousands of cases. She uses Coolsculpting where appropriate. These numbing techniques can also be used with contouring the face and lips with fillers such as Restylane, Juvederm, Sculptra, Bellafill, Radiesse, and fat transfer of your own fat. She is also an expert in Thread lifts (known as liquid face lifts).

 Dr. Voss relies on both her artistic sense and skillful hands when sculpting the shape of a face, neck or body. “Above all else, I strive for natural attractiveness.” Patient education on how to prevent damage and how to maintain and improve skin quality is in constant focus. Care plans for patients are customized and take them from where they are to where they want to be and can be. “You don’t have to worry about looking old and cranky anymore. Dr. Voss chose dermatology and cosmetic surgery as her field because, “it combines the creative and artistic aspects of skin surgical and nonsurgical techniques with the mental challenges of diagnostics and delivering the best procedure for the individual. I can work with both my brain and my hands. It fits me like a second skin.” When not working she spends her time in her art studio painting, sculpting and crafting or in the garden landscaping. “Creating beauty is deeply satisfying.” 

With her wide reputation and acknowledged expertise, Dr. Voss has often been called upon by the media. She has given many television, radio, magazine, and newspaper interviews, including for Northwest Afternoon; KIRO-TV, Northwest Cable News, and KING-TV health segments and for both the Seattle Times and the Post-Intelligencer. In part because of her remarkable responsiveness to her patients’ needs, Dr. Voss was named one of Seattle’s best doctors by Seattle Magazine both in 2019 and in 2020.
